Hey everyone! I’ve updated my R E C A P S page with my recent weight loss progress.. .check it out!
It’s the last day of week 2, as weigh-in day is quickly approaching and I’m ready to post some more numbers for you all.
I must say I did cheat and get on the scale prior to weigh-in day this week for a few reasons. 1. I had a cheat night last night after I worked out so I wanted to see how that affected my numbers weight wise, however I was pleasantly surprised. (You’ll have to come back tomorrow to check to see what the official results were though!) 2. I had 2 rest days (Friday and Saturday) which I’m contemplating on getting rid of or bumping down to only have one rest day. 3. I tried a pre-workout drink called “CardioCuts” on Sunday and I wanted to see if I felt that it helped and if I wanted to continue using it. 4. I really just wanted to peak because I wanted to see my hard work paying off.
With all that said, this week should shape up pretty nicely. I didn’t try any new recipes to mention, however I can say that I’m going through a fruit and salad frenzy over here… now if only the weather here would cooperate.

Good morning everyone!
Today it begins! That’s right, today is the day I begin this journey to getting healthy and in shape for a better future. I welcome you all on this journey with me and invite others to join in as well! :)
I’ll go ahead and break down my plan for you all. First and foremost, I went ahead and downloaded the “MyFitness Pal” for my iPhone so that I can track my calorie intake just until I start to realize how many calories are in each item. I got up this morning and weighed myself. (Helpful Hint: Weigh yourself in the morning right after you wake up, but after you use the restroom for the best results.) I plan on eating 3 meals and 2 snacks today along with an hour walk around the neighborhood, providing it doesn’t rain. My goal for meals/snacks will remain constant throughout the week, but I only plan on working out 5 days a week for an hour a day to start. Since it’s been awhile since I’ve done any heavy activity, I’m going to start with a brisk walk for an hour then probably once I do that for a week or two start adding a light jog so on and so forth. The goal here is to be able to run for an entire hour by the time I’ve reached my goal weight. In the event that rain does ruin my day, I will have 2 extra days this week to make up that workout.
The main focus for me this upcoming week is to work on determining when I am actually hungry as opposed to when I’m not since I found that when I get bored I tend to eat. I’m going to shy away from that and only eat when I’m hungry. I’ll also be cutting out foods such as: bread, potatoes, cheese, condiments, sweets, and soda. Absolutely no fast food! Yes, this means I will have to learn how to cook healthy so you can bet you should expect some recipes in the near future.
At first my goal was to weight myself every week, but my friend suggested doing it daily to start so that I can see the scale drop and stay motivated while getting into a routine with my eating and exercising habits. So, we may try this to see how it goes.
Well, here we go ladies and gentleman. The journey starts today and I, for one, am excited. Feel free to ask questions, suggest recipes, provide tips, give words of encouragement, or follow my blog of course.
Enjoy your day everyone!

For those following my blog for progress reports on my weight loss journey, I will officially begin dieting tomorrow! I won’t post my current weight, but I will definitely show you all each week the number of pounds I lost the previous week.
Also, I’m thinking of rewarding myself at certain goals. For instance, when I lose 20 pounds I will reward myself by getting my hair cut/colored/styled. I’ll post my goals on my “Weekly Recaps” page once I get them all hammered out, but I believe I’m going to do a reward every 20 pounds lost. If you have suggestions, feel free to share them! :)
I will be sure to keep everyone posted! Enjoy the fashion posts brought to you by pins on my Pinterest page!

Use pops of color to enhance your outfits this Spring/Summer. Not only is it fun and flirty, but it shows that your willing to “be bold!”
In particular, I love this yellow skirt with a white blazer embellished in gold buttons paired with a a simple white sheer top.

Hi everyone!
It’s a work in progress, but I would definitely appreciate it if you all start following my blog. All the support I can get would really help out. :)
Thanks in advance!
